When we wear suits, we’re often treading a fine line between conforming to a particular dress code and being able to express ourselves. One of the best ways to differentiate yourself is to have one element of your outfit which challenges the accepted normality. This could be a pair of sneakers with your suit, or an unusually textured tie, or mismatching your pants and jacket.

One of the boldest options is to wear a coloured suit. Beyond the common navy blues, black and greys, there are very few colours which will stand out, without being too vivid and ‘wacky’. One option, and one we heartily recommend is burgundy. It certainly stands out, but retains a certain sophistication missing from brighter hues, so will serve you well for years to come. Don’t all burgundies improve with age?
